A new machine will bring versatility to the plant in Catalonia. In Oyón to seek efficiency and, in addition, all the company’s management areas have been reinforced.

Grupo Argraf lays the foundations for sustainable growth while continuing to invest in new machinery to increase versatility and efficiency. Throughout 2024, 5 million euros have been invested in machinery and a deep transformation has been carried out in the organisation to reinforce all management areas.

Investment

Continuing with last year’s investment effort, dedicated to the versatility of the plant in Catalonia, the bet for 2024, according to the manager of Grupo Argraf, Alberto Torroba, ‘has been to seek productivity for large volumes, with the purchase of a new printing machine with in-line finishing capabilities, with the latest technology and cutting edge in the group’.

The Oyón plant has opted, says Torroba, ‘for efficiency and process improvement’. To this end, the inspection machinery is being replaced by new machines with artificial vision, in addition to the incorporation of the best artificial vision technology in all the printing machines.

The total investment over the course of this year has reached five million euros. A further step after the three million euros invested the previous year.

Planning

Torroba also assures that ‘2024 has been a year of great changes in Grupo Argraf, laying the foundations for sustainable growth’. Human capital is essential for Grupo Argraf to continue leading its sector. Thus, it has opted for the incorporation of several profiles to reinforce all management areas: planning, quality, budgeting and operations.

Furthermore, in the area of production, a training project has been carried out for people who do not come from the sector, with external theoretical training and internal practical training. Alberto Torroba assures that ‘it has been a successful initiative and we will repeat it in the future’. And in Catalonia it has also been a year of transformation in human capital because the staff has been reassigned to the new machines, with printing processes and technology that they were not familiar with.

With all this organisational movement, Torroba acknowledges that ‘we are refurbishing our offices to accommodate the new profiles hired and to improve information flows and collaboration between departments’.
